At Kohler, your work matters. Whether it’s creating inclusive and equitable communities, innovating with a social purpose, or being responsible stewards of resources, we are committed to continuously improving our impact in the places we live and work.
Our associates take action! Through Business Resource Group advocacy activities, nationwide initiatives like MLK Day of Service, and paid volunteer time off (available in some regions), together, we’re a positive force in transforming the environment, communities, and lives all around the world.
Safe water is critical to daily life and the fact that one-third of the world’s population lives without it is unacceptable. Our flagship initiative, Safe Water for All, combines the passion of our associates and our expertise to bring safe water and sanitation to communities living with water scarcity, ineffective infrastructures, or the effects of displacement.
As a measure of transparency, accountability, and progress toward the goals we’ve set, our 2023 Global Impact Report is an important part of our mission to help people live gracious, healthy, and sustainable lives. Discover why we do what we do, and how it’s making a difference.
Across six continents, in each of the communities we call home, our associates are driving change. Through their work as sustainability champions with projects like single-use plastic reduction to support of local arts and education with scholarships and outreach programs, Kohler associates make a difference where they live and work.
We also believe in being good stewards of the global community. Through programs like the Kohler Relief Trailer and Run for Safe Water, our associates work internationally and cross-functionally to bring aid to those in need and innovate to solve complex challenges.
The KOHLER WasteLAB was established in 2014 as an idea coming out of Kohler’s Innovation for Good® incubator. WasteLAB associates are working to foster a circular economy in which we reuse, rethink, and repurpose our manufacturing waste streams to design and produce artful tile and other products from landfill-bound wastewater sludge, pottery dry cull, cast iron slag, foundry dust, and enamel powder. Since 2019, sales of KOHLER WasteLAB tiles have diverted 33.3 metric tons of waste from landfills.
We invest in the innovation and design of environmentally friendly products like cast iron baths made from at least 80% recycled material, WaterSense-labeled showers and toilets that use 20% less water, and the Loope waterless toilet that brings safe sanitation to dense urban environments. We are committed to doing our part to mitigate the effects of climate change, support the natural resources upon which we rely, and reduce the environmental footprint of our company and our customers.
