Larry Yuen was named Group President – Kitchen & Bath for Kohler Co. in September 2016 after serving as President – Kitchen & Bath Asia Pacific and Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
In his role, Yuen leads the Kohler Kitchen & Bath group at both the strategic and operational levels. Known for his financial and commercial acumen, Yuen has been leading the Asia-Pacific region of Kohler Co.’s Kitchen & Bath group since 2010, during which time he is credited for building the KOHLER brand not only in China but also in countries such as South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand. In 2014 he extended his responsibilities to the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. In this role he provides strategic business leadership and drives profitable growth while organizing and directing a world-class manufacturing operation throughout both regions.
Yuen joined Kohler Co. in 1998 as Accounting Manager in Beijing, when the company was entering the Chinese market. In 2000 he advanced to Director – Finance, Kohler China, and then Director – Finance, Kitchen & Bath Asia Pacific. With the brand growing in China, in 2005 Yuen became Managing Director – Kohler China, where he led the brand to its industry-leading position, while also expanding the product lines. Two years later his role was extended to include Greater China, which included oversight of the Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan markets. Prior to joining Kohler Co., Yuen worked for Cathay Pacific Airways, a Hong Kong-based airline and subsidiary of the Swire Group in the United Kingdom, with significant roles in marketing, planning, treasury and customer service in various Asia-Pacific countries.
Yuen graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a bachelor’s degree in social sciences with a major in economics; he also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago. He is a Hong Kong Certified Public Accountant and a fellow of Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants in the United Kingdom.
