Bringing water, bringing hope.

Months after Hurricane Maria made landfall on the island of Puerto Rico, more than half of the island remained without electricity, and many residents still lacked access to safe water. Residents resorted to collecting runoff water and water from contaminated waterways. Even those with running water weren’t safe because water treatment plants weren’t operational. In response, several groups, including Operation Blessing International, a Kohler Co. partner, and the American Federation of Teachers, launched Operation Agua to provide safe drinking water to families across Puerto Rico.

The project's goal is to purchase and distribute 100,000 KOHLER® Clarity™ water filters for households and classrooms, and 50 large-capacity clean-water devices to community-based groups to provide stable and reliable sources of safe water. So far, Operation Blessing has ordered more than 70,000 filters based on the current funds raised in the campaign with the 100,000-filter goal in sight.
