The art piece was created through a collaboration between Chang and Kohler’s invitational artist residency program called Kohler MakerSpace.

Kohler Co. showcases the relationship between art and manufacturing during Miami Art Week 2024 with a new exhibition titled Makers in Place: Kohler Celebrates 50 Years of Arts/Industry, a vibrant presentation featuring over 30 artworks by artists who have participated in the Arts/Industry residency program. The Arts/Industry residency program, a collaboration between Kohler Co. and John Michael Kohler Arts Center, was founded in 1974 by siblings Ruth DeYoung Kohler II and Herbert V. Kohler, Jr. The residency is widely recognized as one of the most remarkable collaborations between art and industry in the United States.

Kohler Co.’s Manufacturing Plant in Arizona Receives Award from U.S. Department of Energy for Decarbonization Project

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) has awarded the Kohler Co. Vikrell Electric Boiler & Microgrid System project with more than $588,000 (of the total project federal cost share of up to $51.2 million) to begin Phase 1 activities to demonstrate commercial-scale decarbonization solutions to help move energy-intensive industries toward net-zero. Selected as one of 33 projects in the U.S., the funding will be matched by Kohler investment to support the Electric Boiler & Microgrid project at its manufacturing site in Casa Grande, Arizona.
