“What surprises me most,” explained area associate Megan Kolb, “even after 9 years, is how big of a company Kohler is with all the different departments—yet it has that small company feel.”
Megan began bartending at The American Club to make extra cash during college 9 years ago and has held five positions in that short time. What started as a part-time job has led to more than she ever imagined.
After working at The American Club, Megan moved to central reservations and then to marketing at the Kohler Waters Spa before landing her current role as an area associate on our Retail Faucets marketing team.
“A friend and former coworker told me about the position, and I was ready for a new challenge,” said Megan, emphasizing the ease of building connections even at such a large company. “I love working with such a diverse, yet small and close-knit, group.”
Her current role is anything but dull. Megan’s day-to-day includes everything from coordinating product research events and working on competitive analysis to onboarding new associates and assisting with product changes.
“I love this position because it keeps me busy, and I get to learn so much and wear so many different hats,” she added.
But even after 9 years of adventure and challenge, Megan’s favorite Kohler memory dates back to her very first job when she met PGA champion Rory McIlroy while bartending at the resort.
