Cristina Bigica is only three years into her career, but she’s already made an impact on our corporate procurement team, and she doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon. A scholarship to play college basketball brought the Romanian native to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Four years later with a degree in hand, she was on the hunt for a career at a global company. She didn’t have to look far—Kohler headquarters is just an hour away.

“I was interested in international assignments, but I didn’t know which career path to take within supply chain. Kohler’s rotational program seemed like the perfect place to start my career,” said Cristina.

The rotational program did not disappoint—for both her career and her travel itch. A stint in Portland, Oregon, exposed Cristina to a new part of the U.S. and eventually led to an opportunity to take up residency in another country. This time it was the U.K., where she is currently a buyer for the corporate procurement team.

“I love the diversity of purchases. We support many regions and business units, which keeps the role challenging and exciting,” she explained. “And the diversity of our associates makes our office unique. We have so many international employees, so it’s not unusual to learn about new cultures and hear foreign languages.”

So, what’s next for Cristina? New job opportunities and new countries, of course.

“With such a large company, I’d like to explore a career move, learn another foreign language and pursue graduate studies.”
