The Sales Management Trainee Program is a 12-month, accelerated early career program designed to prepare you for advanced opportunities in various career tracks in various locations.
The program provides hands-on training and comprehensive exposure, equipping you with the skills and experience needed to excel in a leadership role within Kohler’s rapidly growing team.
You will elevate the customer experience for retail customers including homeowners, DIY project customers and contractors.
You will develop your own skillset as you train retail associates to become brand ambassadors, teaching them about Kohler’s brand and products.
You will execute the market-specific merchandising and inventory management initiatives to drive results.
You will drive and foster key relationships with our store management team to maximize sales results and create cross-collaboration with your store team.
You will experience robust, in-market onboarding with your direct supervisor, focusing on the day-to-day components of the Retail Field Sales Executive role.
You will receive continued training to support acclimation to Kohler and your role. Through in-person and virtual modules, you'll gain the necessary knowledge, tools and resources to be successful in the program while becoming product experts.
Intentional and structured development will be provided to you in the beginning and end of the program. Key areas of development for these offerings include: product knowledge, hands-on product installation, sales skills, leadership engagement, presentation skills, communication, negotiation training and much more.

Potential opportunities include: Commercial Leadership Development Program, Sr. Field Sales Executive, Retail Field Sales Manager, Marketing Analyst (Product Marketing Team), and Sales Executive Role (Denver location).

We will have roles in several different areas of the country in key markets that we have identified for the business. Your location is based on your preferences, but relocation may be required for those who live outside of our target markets. As a field-based employee, you will not have a direct office you work in but will work out of your assigned retailer/store each day.
Individuals will partner with their manager to curate a personalized plan that helps them perform at their highest level and fully utilize their talents. Upon graduation from the program, participants will continue as a Retail Sales Executive, and will have the opportunity to explore career advancement, in partnership with their manager, based on available roles and the organization’s needs.
