KOHLER, Wis. – April 5, 2010 – Kohler Co., the EPA’s 2008 and 2009 WaterSense Partner of the Year, will be featured as a ‘green exhibitor’ at the 2010 Kitchen/Bath Industry Show (KBIS), during which the company will be showcasing some of its latest fixtures and faucets that save water without sacrificing performance or design. Owned and operated by National Kitchen and Bath Association, KBIS is the world’s largest international trade show event dedicated to the industry, and it is slated for April 16 – 18 at the McCormick Place in Chicago.
“As a global design and technology leader, Kohler offers the largest portfolio of plumbing products that are engineered to save water while remaining true to a singular level of quality,” said Jim Lewis, vice president of brand and channel marketing for Kohler Co. “We look forward to meeting with designers, decision-makers and product specifiers on how best to create beautiful kitchen and bath spaces.”
At this year’s KBIS, Kohler will demonstrate how its WaterSense labeled toilets, bathroom faucets and showerheads help homeowners save thousands of gallons of water each year, without altering their lifestyle. In addition to products, Kohler will be educating show-goers on some of the company’s latest environmental stewardship initiatives.
President and COO David Kohler will present the State of the Industry keynote address on April 17, and among the topics he’ll discuss is the recently launched plan for Kohler to be Net Zero with carbon offsets by 2035. This is a global sustainability platform for the company, encompassing education, innovative products and reductions in the company’s environmental footprint.
Another key initiative for Kohler is SaveWaterAmerica.com, which launched in January 2009. The campaign is a viral Web site dedicated to raise awareness of the nation’s looming water crisis, help homeowners save water, and support Habitat for Humanity with a $2 million product donation. The site’s success has helped build hundreds of homes across the country that not only perform to expectations, but save a significant amount of water.
Founded in 1873 and headquartered in Kohler, Wis., Kohler Co. is one of America’s oldest and largest privately held companies. Kohler is a global leader in the manufacture of kitchen and bath products, engines and power generation systems, cabinetry, tile and home interiors, and international host to award-winning hospitality and world-class golf destinations.
